Night Fishing Anticipation

Night Fishing. There is something special in it, but it is hard to say what. It is much more difficult and I rarely (read: never) catch more fish at night.

But that fish, which I don’t really see but only hear splashing the water, can be the biggest and fattest brown trout in river. He's a hunter. I’m a fisherman.

Oh, and I like bats!

I love Island´s salmon river (Ranga for example) but is too expensive fishing here. In Galicia (Spain) we fishing more seatrouts fishing at night.
Who is the iceman? Fernado Alonso or Kimi Raikkonen.
Very beautiful blog.

Unless I know the river very well, I do't like to fish at night. The risk of getting injured while wading between rocks...

Oh, I don't like the mosquito's too! :)

Night fishing is good around the Arctic Circle in the summer. You get the night and the light at the same time. You live further north than I do, right?

Jose - Looks like Kimi has been living for too long in Monaco. Fernando is doing very well.

Jay - I rarely wade or change flies at night. It is different kind of fishing.

TMADF - Just a bit further north, yes. Real night (=dark) fishing starts at August, its very easy now.

In my opinion the best thing of fly fishing is you can enjoy the sightseeings and yoy can also see the fish when it eats the fly. If I cann´t see these fishing loses a lot.
Cheers

Is too dificult make a knot at night. If the fly is very small, then it´s impossible.

I think like varo. You can feel sensations, but it´s not the same.

Here, in Aragón (Spain) is prohibited to go fishing at night. Only it´s allowed one hour before the Sun goes out and one hour after it hide.

You have noticed ? !!
We are three Spanish for this place!

;-) bye

Had you "fishing" some bat at night?

Thanks Jose. I have never caught a bat, but I know a guy that did that--with dry fly!

I usually only try to photograph them. You'll find a picture here when I manage to shoot a good one.
