Mental Health and Fly Fishing

Here in Finland, where I live, the length of the day is currently just over 5 hours. That sure is a cause of depression. But there are nearly unheard of chances of quality fly fishing in December because the weather is so warm...

So you're the only not depressed fisherman around? Still no snow up there?
Austria is looking at a bad winter season: no snow on the snow slopes. Just green pastures...

This dark season is always depressing. And without the snow it is even darker.

There is currently no snow in middle Finland. ECMWF has estimated that next 4 weeks will be unusually warm in southern and middle Finland. If you want to do some downhill skiing, better go to the Lapland...
