With this ring, I thee wed...

Some time ago, a precious little Orvis Superfine fly rod was given to me.

Now, she has a companion for life (or at least for the 24-and-half years what is left of the warranty). Say hi to my new Orvis CFO III reel!

They were made for each other.

Very nice.

It reminds me of two posts from Erich Hartmann, a blogger that I used to enjoy quite a bit but who has been gone from the scene for more than two years now.

Enjoy.

Nice setup buddy!
My older Orvis Tippet (7.6ft #3, built in 1978) goes with a Waterworks Purist. This a an ultra light reel with no frills. No drag besides a clicker. Drag by rim breaking.

How's life Olli? My internet is still not available at my new house!...

Jay,

We're on vacation. That's why my blogging has been so slow. Currently we are at Holiday Resort where internet is available, but I have been too busy resting.

I don't have any quality fly fishing products from the seventies. I do have a reel, it's "Made in Japan", a cheap copy of the reels of the era.

Glad you have a new house. Enojoy!

It won't actually have success, I consider this way.
